PokerEdge — Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using PokerEdge ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and FirstPoint Studios.
2. Description of Service
PokerEdge is a real-time poker analysis tool that provides probability calculations, pot odds, expected value (EV) estimates, and action recommendations based on the information you enter. The App is intended for educational and entertainment purposes only.
3. Not Gambling Advice
PokerEdge does not constitute gambling advice, financial advice, or any professional advisory service. All analysis is generated algorithmically based on mathematical models. Results are for informational purposes only. FirstPoint Studios is not responsible for any financial losses incurred as a result of decisions made using the App. This App is not designed for, endorsed for, or intended to be used during real-money online poker games on regulated platforms. Use in such contexts may violate platform terms of service.
4. User Accounts
You must create an account to use the App. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must be at least 18 years old, or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use this App.
5. Subscriptions & Payments
PokerEdge is currently free to use. There are no paid subscriptions or in-app purchases at this time. If paid features are introduced in the future, we will update these Terms and give you notice before any charges apply. Any such purchases would be processed by Google Play, and refunds would be handled in accordance with Google Play's refund policy and applicable law.
6. Camera & Device Permissions
The App may request access to your device camera solely to enable the card-scanning feature. Camera data is processed entirely on-device and is never transmitted to our servers or stored. You may revoke camera access at any time through your device settings, which will disable the scanning feature.
7. Intellectual Property
All content, algorithms, designs, trademarks, and software in the App are the exclusive property of FirstPoint Studios and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or reverse-engineer any part of the App.
8. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to: (a) use the App in any jurisdiction where poker or its analysis is prohibited by law; (b) attempt to reverse-engineer or tamper with the App; (c) use automated tools to scrape or abuse the service; (d) share your account with others; (e) use the App to facilitate cheating in any game; or (f) use the App during online poker games on platforms that prohibit third-party analysis tools.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that probability calculations will be accurate in all circumstances. Use of the App is at your own risk.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FirstPoint Studios shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App — including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
11. Data Storage
PokerEdge stores your session data locally on your device and syncs it to our secure cloud backend (Supabase) for backup and cross-device access. We use a small number of third-party service providers to operate and improve the App: Supabase (data storage and authentication), PostHog (product analytics), and Google Firebase Crashlytics (crash reporting). These providers receive limited account information — such as your user ID, name, and email address — solely to provide their services to us. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Camera data is processed entirely on-device and is never transmitted or stored remotely. 12. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via the App or email. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.
14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
